Say No to Drugs: World No Tobacco Month Observance Held at College
In observance of World No Tobacco Month, the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, in collaboration with the Block Family Health Centre, Edayazham, organised a meaningful awareness programme titled “Say No to Drugs” at the college auditorium.
The event was inaugurated by Fr. Shijo Konuparamban, College Manager, and presided over by Dr. K.J. Abraham, Principal. Bibu V.N. (IQAC Coordinator) and Roy Mathew (NSS Programme Officer) welcomed the gathering, highlighting the importance of creating a drug-free society.
The key resource person, Dr. Shahul K B, Medical Officer, Block Family Health Centre, Edayazham, conducted an engaging and insightful session on the harmful effects of tobacco and substance abuse. He encouraged the students to lead a healthy lifestyle and make responsible choices for a better future.
Students and staff attended the programme in large numbers and actively participated in the interactive session. The event successfully raised awareness and reinforced the need to work together as a community to fight against addiction.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge by all present to say “No to Drugs” and promote health and well-being.
