St. Xavier's College Vaikom Hosts Electoral Literacy Program to Engage Future Voters
VAIKOM, September 25, 2025 – St. Xavier's College, Vaikom, successfully conducted a comprehensive Electoral Literacy Program aimed at sensitizing young and future voters about their democratic rights and responsibilities. The program, organized by the college's Electoral Literacy Club (ELC), focused on strengthening the culture of electoral participation among the student community.
The sessions were structured to provide students with hands-on experience and critical information on the electoral process. Key topics discussed during the program included:

Voter Registration and Rights: Students were educated on their democratic rights and the complete process of voter registration, particularly for newly eligible voters. The aim is to ensure that "No Voter is Left Behind".

EVM and VVPAT Familiarization: The program included sessions to familiarize the targeted audience with the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT). This was intended to educate students about the robustness and integrity of the electronic voting process.
